TMS320F28379D: Brushless motor control with F28379 using absolute encoder

Hi guys, 

I want to implement low voltage brushless motor control with absolute encoder (with SSI or BISS interface) using F28379. I know that the position manager module of 28379 can read absolute encoder with SSI/BISS interface (I read it with IDDK module before) So my questions are:

1) Can I do it with F28379D LaunchPad Development Kit + DRV8301  Motor Drive BoosterPack? Do they work together? Or do you have better suggestions?

2) If I use these boards, do I need an external circuitry to interface SSI/BISS encoders? If yes,Ii would be much appreciated if you could suggest me a small commercial card.
