Hi, I am Unable to program the C2000 series TMS320F28335 Controller using XDS100V3 JTAG Emulator.The following error is returned during program dumping.

Error connecting to the target:
(Error -1155 @ 0x0)
Device may be operating in low-power mode. Reset the device, and retry the operation. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle the board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK).
(Emulation package 6.0.83.1)

Kindly provide the technical support for the above error.

Hi SK,

This error is generally displayed when the device has power issues. Check with the supply/bias section.

Is this a custom board? If yes, can you check with the XRS pin status? Do you've additional JTAG?

Yes this a custom board but, the IC package is BGA so it is not possible to check at that pin.
I have tried with XD510 and XDS100 V3 emulators but the same error it is showing

Have you ever programmed this IC before or is it for the first time? If you've programmed the same before... are you able to check some functionality resembling to code?

I have not programmed it earlier this error occurred for the new PCB.

Sai, its tough to debug the BGA package. What I can recommend is to use an external DC supply (bypass the on-board LDO /Bias section) and check the current consumed by the mcu and its peripherals.

The current consumption of the defective board is 30 mA, but all other working boards current consumption before programming in the flash is 40 mA. Does this 10 mA variation caused the MCU in low power mode ? How to bring the mcu out of this mode?
Previously also I faced the similar issue and it has been resolved only by replacing the IC. This time I don't want to replace as I need to know the cause of this issue.

Exactly... I fear the same. The issue I feel is improper mounting of the BGA package. Any possibility of shorts below? What I mean to ask is how controlled is the soldering process?
