Hi,

Is this Development tool suitable for experimenting with stepper motors?

    It has a three phase inverter, or in other word, it has three half bridges. If your configuration needs 4 half bridges, this kit will not help.

    Reg software, the one available from us is for three phase PMSM control and not for stepper. So you will have to be creative with the board hardware and design your own software.
