TMS320F28379D: TMS320F28379D

Part Number: TMS320F28379D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE, CONTROLSUITE

Hi

I want a design files for the TMS320F28379D Launch Pad. Also i want to interface ADC line which are working from 0-5V and the ADC of the TMS320F28379D can work upto 3.3.V so how i can connect that ADC output to it. It's Single ended output from sensor/interface.

Thanks

  • Hi Krunal,

You should be able to get all the HW design information by downloading C2000 Ware and then looking in the .\ti\c2000\C2000Ware_1_00_00_00\boards\LaunchPads\ directory.  I actually don't see the dual-core launchpad in C2000 Ware...I'll submit to have this added.

In the meantime, you can instead download ControlSUITE and look in the \ti\controlSUITE\development_kits\LAUNCHXL-F28379 directory.

To get your 5V signal into the range of the ADC you will need to scale down the voltage.  Depending on how fast you need to sample the signal, the drive capability of the sensor, the BW of the signal, etc. you can either use a simple voltage divider or a circuit with an op-amp that buffers, scales, and possibly filters the signal.

Note that we usually recommend that the ADC VREFHI reference be 3.0V or 2.5V and not 3.3V because there is a hard requirement that VREFHI < VDDA at all times.  I believe that the launchpad uses a 3.0V reference range.
