TMS320F28377D: Adding USB communications

Hello, from what I can see in the datasheet for the TMS320F28377S/D, it appears that adding USB capability to the processor is as easy as adding a USB connector to the GPIO pins 42 and 43. Is this correct?

Yes, that is correct in order to physically add the capability.

However, if you are attempting to get USB certified, it you may have to connect VBUS from the host.

You can look at the control Card design. It has a micro-USB connector for USB.

I cannot seem to find a control Card schematic for the 28377D or the 28379D, but I did find the USB interface in the technical reference for the 28377D.
