CCS/TMS320F28335: How to flash with an errouneous PARTID (0xFFFF)

Hello,

After a test that implied an exposure to X Ray, my component has a wrong PARTID (0xFFFF instead of 0x00EF), thus, the On-chip programmer of CCS 3.3 can not bo opened (it checks the PARTID to allow a flash operation with the selected Algorithm file.

I tried using the SDFlash utility to Spectrum Digital, but as I use the same Algorithm file, I can't go further.

Is there a solution to erase/write internal flash memory without checking this PARTID value ? Or to correct the PARTID register ?

I do not think this is possible. I believe the Flash API checks the PartID as well, so there is no way to erase or program flash.

I will our flash algorithm developer comment as well.

And is there an existing "debug" version of this algorithm that would ignore the PARTID value ? Or a possibility to create one :)

No, there is no debug version of flash api library available to bypass PARTID check.
