CCS/INSTASPIN-BLDC: Can't open HAL_Handle member object.

You need to open hal_obj.h first, click right button of mouse on HAL_Handle, and then click "open declaration" in the popup menu.

Thanks for the reply. I did exactly as the lab instruction. I clicked open declaration and opened hal_obj.h. Then I right clicked HAL_Handle in file hal_obj.h. Somehow the menu shown in hal_obj.h is the same as that shown in proj_lab01.c.

The outline view displays a structured file that is currently open in the editor area, and lists structural elements if you selected the header or source file. The outline view of two files are different, you can try again, and what you want to get in outline view?

I am just trying to follow the lab and get familiar with the software. The following is the instruction:

With the file “hal_obj.h” now open, right- mouse click on HAL_Handle and select “Show In Outline".

and there is a picture shows a drop-down menu shows the selection of "Show in Outline".

However, on my software, when I right-click on HAL_Handle inside the file hal_obj.h as instructed, the drop-down menu is the same as in proj_lab01.c, and doesn't have a choice of "Show in Outline". I can only type in text and can't show you the picture. So I am stuck on the lab tutorial.

Are you trying to find the declaration of HAL_Handle? If so, try holding CTRL + left clicking to follow an item to it's declaration
