TMS320F28379D: How to connect to EMIF pins on Launchpad- F28379D

I just got LAUNCHXL-F28379D and I am clueless how to connect external memory.

EMIF Pins (J9) are to packed close that I cannot even soldier wires.

And I cannot find proper connector designed for this.

Is there any connector suited for this?

The Bill of Materials (BOM) in the LAUNCHXL-F28379D Overview User's Guide says J9 is a https://www.hirose.com/product/en/products/DF40/DF40C-60DP-0.4V(51). The referenced Hirose page has an option to find mating connectors.

I am not sure if there are any existing external memory designs to attach to the EMIF connector on the LAUNCHXL-F28379D.

Chester is on the right track. The complementary connector DF40HC(4.0)-60DS-0.4V(51) is recommended for interfacing with J9.

There is no reference design available at the moment, but there is one under development that is still many months away from completion.

If you can tolerate slower speeds, an alternative would be to use a SPI-interface FLASH memory.
