What happened to PLCSuite?

Hi team,

Is PLCSuite gone? It used to be downloadable but now all old links and pages that used to point to it are dead or removed. Can someone share the story about its status?

Thanks,

Billy

  • Billy,

Can you advise on the exact SW package you are referring?  Is this for PLC Lite package for the F2803x device?  We are currently in process of pulling most of the PLC FW Packages to be by request only to better comprehend the usage.

    Best,
    Matthew

  • Hi Matthew,

I don’t have a specific chip or package in mind, just a customer asking. If I remember correctly there was just what’s called “PLCSuite”. So its beginning to sound like we pulled that and have solution-specific offerings and per request. How would a customer know to request, or where even would they make the request?

Here is the PLCSuite section of the C2000 Tools page:
    www.ti.com/.../tools-software.page

It leads you to an informative page but no download button, request button, or any sort of actions to take.

    Thanks,
    Billy

  • Billy,
Got it, if you scroll down the page there are different HW kits for different spectrum PLC, like ARIB or CEN. On those pages there are HW and SW files respectively. I agree this is confusing as all the other "Suites" from C2000 are SW download packages, whereas this page is more an information with links to other TIDM/TIDA, etc. We are working to address this on the web side.

What I was referring to in the earlier post is for the end pages, like the TIDMs is where now kits/SW is click buy/download. We plan to make these links request, etc.

  • Thanks for that Matthew.

So is there no longer just a PLCSuite to download? For example, this is the video that sparked my customers interest:
    www.youtube.com/watch

Do you happen to know what specific PLC software package this video is showing off? And where to get it from?

    Thanks again,
    Billy
