PLC-Lite hardware and software questions

I am evaluating power line communication solutions for a simple communications requirement. I find references to support for PLC-lite in the following development kit http://www.ti.com/tool/tidm-tmdsplckit-v3  but this kit is not available to order. This newer version of the development kit http://www.ti.com/tool/tmdsplckitv4-cen is available but doesn't indicate support for plc-lite. Can I conclude that PCL-lite is supported by the new kit, just not mentioned on the page? Thanks.

  • Hi David,

PLC-lite is a solution built for the F2803x series of devices (specifically the F28035).

Because of this, the TMDSPLCKIT-V4 will not work as a good platform for PLC-lite evaluation since it utilizes the 'PLC8x series of devices as part of the system.

    Thank you,
    Brett
