TMS320F28379D: Position Manager EnDat2.2 8/16MHz clock rate

I´m acutally working with TMS320F28379D on the Evaluation Board IDDK R2.2.1 and using Position Manager Software from the Control Suite. We would like to use the EnDat22 Library according to SPRUI35. In the documentation is the advice only to use 8MHz clock rate, but according to Heidenhain EnDat2.2 it is defined for up to 16MHz. Why is it not possible to use the 16MHz? Is there a limitation from the CLB or in the software library? Is a newer EnDat22 library available in futur wich could run 16MHz clock rate?

Hi Sterie,

Your understanding is correct. 16MHZ operation is currently not supported on C2000 devices.
We may support this feature in future devices, no plans for 16MHz operation support on F28379D at this stage.
As of now, we do not have a EnDat22 library at 16MHz. Thanks you.

thanks for your answer, so we will use the 8MHz clock rate for our application.
