MOTORWARE: Source codes in 'float' folder of motorware 18 are ready ?

Hi TI team,

Thanks for your effort for releasing new release of motorware.

Looking around the release 18, I have found that most of modules have folder named 'float' and it includes separate C source and header for supporting float, lt is great !!

when I have tried to test example of supporting fpu32(ex, lab03c), C source and header files in float folder are not used for the example, it looks same as before motorware 17.

so I am wondering that float folder seems not OK to be used.

Am I right ?

If it is ready to be used, could you please provide example code for full float support with motorware 18 ?

Not support the code in "float" folder in MW18, but support fpu32 using IQmath float lib in MW18 refer to lab guide.

Hi Hae Ryong,

Sorry for the confusion, the "float" folders have been in use for internal development of InstaSPIN with native floating point support. They are not ready for implementation at this time, their release was not intended. We are still currently developing floating point InstaSPIN, so stay tuned.

We cannot commit to a release schedule at this time, but can say that it will be available for the F280049M device which is currently sampling on TI.com. It will be a new structure, setup as a SDK that will stand alongside C2000Ware. Please see the pinned post at the top for more information on the implementation; unfortunately, you won't find any additional info about a release date.
