INSTASPIN-BLDC: Piccolo Devices for InstaSPIN BLDC and FOC

The InstaSPIN homepage says that the InstaSPIN is enabled by special libraries in the ROM of Piccolo devices. I am planning on using the InstaSPIN-BLDC, and I initially selected the TMS320F28033. Can you confirm that this device has the ability to support InstaSPIN-BLDC? There may be interest to upgrade to using FOC in the future, so would that require to use F28026/7F, F28052/4F, or F28062/8/9F? Would I still be able to use InstaSPIN-BLDC with those devices, or does the ROM only have FOC software?

    Yes, the InstaSPIN-BLDC examples in ControlSUITE will work on any Piccolo device. There is no special ROM that needs to be pre-loaded onto the device to enable use of InstaSPIN-BLDC. InstaSPIN-FOC is only available on devices with the 'F' suffix, as you've shown, and InstaSPIN-MOTION on devices with the 'M' suffix. That said, InstaSPIN-BLDC will work on any of the devices that are enabled for InstaSPIN-FOC or InstaSPIN-MOTION
