TMS320F28035: SD Flash I2C, Flash Programming I2C Mode

Hello everyone,

I am working on a project where the programming using the JTAG is not desired. I am trying to use I2C for flash programming a piccolo F28035. Is there any documentation about that, or sample files or procedure?

I maybe misunderstanding this part, but what is the role of the EEPROM at 0x50 here? Will it contain all the program info?

I hope someone can help.

Hi Sal,
Thanks for your help. The document was truly helpful. However, how to use this tool using I2C. In the document the Example Implementation relies on CCS and Microsoft Visual Studio, but how to initiate that over I2C.

You will need to port the solution to an I2C solution.

This is meant to point you to a procedure and example of performing a serial DFU.

Hi Sal,
Unfortunately I am quite a beginner in this microcontrollers world. Will I need a USB/I2C converter for this purpose? The devices are expensive and I do not want to pay on such device if it is useless.

Yes, you'll need a USB to I2C dongle to load the code from PC.
