CCS/TMS320F28377S: Cannot Import CCS project provided by TI

Hello, I am trying to implement etherCat on my Delfino Board using the ET1100 ESC as an add on board. I am trying to import the the CCS project provided by the TI but i keep on getting the following message(I am running CCS7.1).

"Import failed for project pdi_hal_test_app because its compiler definition is not available". Although i uninstalled v15.12 compiler the message keeps on popping up. What can i do?

Which C2000 compiler version do you've installed now?

Definitely looks like compiler compatibility issue. Can you check the project documentation for the compiler version used then?

Unfortunately if you follow the link i pasted previously you will see that it is not mentioned . It is only stated that CCS 6.0 or later should be used...

Actually, although i have done all the installations steps and downloaded the appropriate drivers, the importing fails for demo projects provided by ti for my specific launchpad as well. CCS doesn't seem to identify my device and even if i try to create an empty ccs project with main.c , i cannot find the Target device (TMS28377S). What am i doing wrong?

Now, I get it. If you see the above screenshot of the compilers - there's no mention of C2000 compiler. You need to re-install CCS again and tick C2000 devices and Spectrum digital drivers in their respective selection windows.

I followed your instructions and now the basic provided tutorials work just fine for me. The problem that persists is that when i try now to import the project i mentioned before, An error message pops up indicating that i should download c2000v15.9 compiler. Although i searched for this compiler in the Code Generation Tools Update, only C2000 Compilers HELP is available and not even for 15.9 version (only for 15.12 and later). What should i do?
