TMS320F280049M: PWMBLANK signal description

Part Number: TMS320F280049M

Hi Champs,

In F280049M TRM CMPSS section, it showed clear signal can use PWMBLANK, However, I didn't see any section wrote about PWMBLANK signal. Could you please tell me what PWMBLANK is ? And where it comes from ? Does it come from PWM module ? Do we have document talk about this signal ? thank you

Hi Lisa,

PWMBLANK is optionally used to blank the input signals going into the Digital Compare submodule of the PWM to remove noise. You can find documentation for this in the Digital Compare submodule description in the PWM chapter.

hi Frank,

thanks for your reply. However, in digital compare submodule, I still can't find PWMBLANK signal. I know there is a blanking window in digital compare sub module. But it didn't generate blank signal output. Could you please show where PWMBLANK be generated ? thank you.

Lisa,

PWMBLANK is derived from the Blanking Window filter settings in the DC module.
