DRV8301-69M-KIT: Difference to DRV8301-HC-C2-KIT ?

Part Number: DRV8301-69M-KIT
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INSTASPIN-BLDC, DRV8301, CONTROLSUITE, MOTORWARE

Hello,

In the "Read Me First" document supplied with DRV8312-69M-KIT there's a following information:

"Also ships as the inverter board in other kit configurations such as DRV8301-HC-C2-KIT and DRV8301-RM48-KIT"

What is meant by those "other kit configurations"? I also cannot find any examplary projects or documentation for my kit in Control Suite. There's only a subdirectory for DRV8301-HC-C2-KIT kit in development_kits folder - is it fully compliant, can I use information and code from this one instead?

  • Jakub,
The DRV8301 Rev D EVM board is used in multiple kits (packaged with different controlCARDS which then have different software packages and control solutions) sold with different part numbers. For example the -HC-C2 version uses F28035 controlCARD and has InstaSPIN-BLDC and sensorless SMO based FOC through controlSUITE

Your version (-69M) is InstaSPIN-FOC and InstaSPIN-MOTION enabled, supported through MotorWare
Run MotorWare.exe and look under Resources for this specific Inverter board (DRV8301) for documentation.

There are two GUIs - view the GUI User's Guides - one a Demo of the technology and the other (Universal) which instruments code in most MotorWare proj_lab## projects.

Follow the InstaSPIN Labs & User's Guide for step by step development.
