TMS320F28374S: ADC Sample Sequence Different From SOC Configuration Sequence

Hi Team,

My customer reported an abnormal thing that the ADC sample Sequence is different from SOC configured sequence.

The intend sequence is follow: SOC0->SOC1->SOC2->SOC3->SOC4->SOC5->SOC6->SOC7; But the test result shown the SOC sequence is SOC4->SOC5->SOC6->SOC7->SOC0->SOC1->SOC2->SOC3;

Need your kindly support below items:

Clarify why the sample sequence is not same as configuration.
How to configure the ADC to make the ADC sample sequence worked as SOC0~SOC7?

Hi Benjamin,

Are you sure that the round-robin pointer and SOC priority is set such that SOC0 should have the highest priority? You may want to read the value of the RR pointer to confirm.

Have a look at the "ADC Conversion Priority" section in the ADC chapter of the TRM.

The RPOINTER used the default value 0x10 and SOCPRITY is 0;

Hi Benjamin,

The RR pointer changes after every conversion. What is important is the dynamic state and not the initial state. I don't think it can be 0x10 after a conversion has occurred.
