Hello,

1. Can EPWM1A and EPWM1B be set up to have different frequencies, since there is one "EPwm1REG.TBPRD"?

2. Is it possible to set up 4 epwms it 1A, 1B, 2A and 3A with the following action qualifier configurations:

EPwm1Regs.AQCTLA.all = 0x0060; EPwm1Regs.AQCTLB.all = 0x0600; //for epwm1a and epwm1b

EPwm2Regs.AQCTLA.all = 0x0120; EPwm3Regs.AQCTLA.all = 0x0840; //for epwm2a and epwm3a

In short, my question here is, how do I set EPWM1B as the master.

I feel if I just use "EPwm1Regs.TBCTL.bit.SYNCOSEL = 1" there might be a conflict and ePWM1A will be used. By the way, I don't think there is anything like "EPwm1BRegs..."; so, what can be done ?

Ideas/tips will be much appreciated.

David,

1. You cannot have different periods for ePWM1A and ePWM1B.

2. There are a lot of different ways that you can configure the action qualifier, it depends on your counter mode and what you are trying to do if these settings are correct.

-SyncOut pulses are generated by the time-base counter, since ePWM1A and ePWM1B have the same time-base counter then its kind of like ePWM1A and ePWM1b are both the master.

Look at Figure 9 of the ePWM Reference Guide for information about the sync chain. For the Action qualifier you can reference section 2.4 of the same document.

After you read through those sections let me know if you have any other questions.
