CCS/TMS320F28335: CCS5.3 generated hex file sometimes can not be downloaded normally

Hi Ti,

I used CCS5.3 to compile the 28335 project and successfully generated the DX30_SW_S06.hex file.I use C2Prog through the serial port (SCIA)to download the program DX30_SW_S06.hex to 28335.However, in the process of downloading the program encountered a problem, as shown below。I can download the DX30_SW_S06.out file generated by the CCS synchronization via the emulator XDS200 and the program is running normally.

All the configuration does not make any changes, I choose another project to produce the programming file DX44_WH.hex. C2Prog can successfully download the file DX44_WH.hex.The successful download process is shown below.

Replace the download file can not be downloaded normally.Where is the problem?Project time is relatively tight, I am very anxious.

Hi,

I spoke with C2Prog developer. Sector violation error means that you have some code linked to RAM in your linker command file. If you have any code that you need to executed from RAM, load it to Flash and copy it to RAM at runtime. Adjust your linker command file to have no code sections mapped to RAM.
