TMDSHVMTRINSPIN: TMDSHVMTRINSPIN

Part Number: TMDSHVMTRINSPIN
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE

I see that the Drive FET's for the development kit is IPA60R250CP. These are rated to 650VDC at 12A. My Motor Demands about 530V to run 5000 RPM. My load demands keeps me well below the 10A rating of the kit at about 2.5 to 3A max. Is there any problem with running the higher voltage at lower current? All I see are the FET's so it is hard to see the rest of the circuit. Normal drive circuits only have this as the limiting factor and the supply voltage goes nowhere else. A schematic of this would be great if possible. Yes I understand that I would be outside of the limits specified of the kit, and I would do what I could to minimize risk.

  • Hi Jimmy,

These MOSFETs are designed for PFC, you can bypass this part by connecting BS1 to BS5. More detail information refer to hardware guide. You can find these documents and schematic in below directory if you installed ControlSUITE.

  • Yes, I see that now. It was not in the stuff that I have, but I found here and am downloading it now.
