TMDSDOCK28035: : Really TMDS2MTRPFCKIT - Need DOCS

Part Number: TMDSDOCK28035
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE

Hello,

I have one of the TMDS2MTRPFCKITS with 2 BLDC motors from Anaheim Automation; and have lost the docs - is there a place for the docs for this kit?

I updated Control Suite - but don't see them there.

Does anyone have docs and the example programs under CCS?

Maybe there is an archive someplace?

Thanks In Advance,
John W.

  • Hi John,

There were two evaluation paths for the TMDS2MTRPFCKIT, when it was actively sold.

    (1) One was completely done by TI and consists of two packages:
    http://www.ti.com/lit/zip/sprc675
    +
    http://www.ti.com/lit/zip/sprc922

    (2) An update was made and exists in controlSUITE (it contains a Crosshairs GUI).  Within controlSUITE, it can be found at the below path:
    \controlSUITE\development_kits\LVMultiAxis+PfcKit_v1.4\

I would probably recommend the path (1), as I believe it has a more straightforward evaluation path.

    Good luck in your project!

    Thank you,
    Brett

  • Thanks Brett,
I will look at this later today and let you know how it worked out.

    Thanks!
    John
  • Hello Brett,

Got that to work - I'm on this step now:
    #define LEVEL2 2 // Verify ADC, park/clarke, calibrate the offset

But, I was wondering; I found this in ControlSuite:
    TMDS2MTRPFCKIT-2xPM_Sensorless - under:
    \controlSUITE\development_kits\LVMultiAxis+PfcKit_v1.4\2xPM_Sensorless_v1_1

But I'm getting this error in 2xPM_Sensorless.c:
"../2xPM_Sensorless.c", line 1469: warning: function "PID_MACRO" declared implicitly
"../2xPM_Sensorless.c", line 1488: warning: function "PID_MACRO" declared implicitly
    "../2xPM_Sensorless.c", line 1490: error: expected a ";"
    "../2xPM_Sensorless.c", line 1491: error: expected a statement
    "../2xPM_Sensorless.c", line 1492: error: expected a statement
    "../2xPM_Sensorless.c", line 1499: error: expected a ";"
    "../2xPM_Sensorless.c", line 1500: error: expected a statement
    "../2xPM_Sensorless.c", line 1504: error: expected a ";"
    "../2xPM_Sensorless.c", line 1505: error: expected a statement
    "../2xPM_Sensorless.c", line 1511: error: expected a ";"
"../2xPM_Sensorless.c", line 1567: warning: function "SVGEN_MACRO" declared implicitly
    "../2xPM_Sensorless.c", line 1570: error: expected a ";"
    "../2xPM_Sensorless.c", line 1577: error: expected a ";"
10 errors detected in the compilation of "../2xPM_Sensorless.c".

Where should I be picking those macros up at?

    Thanks,
    John W.
  • Brett,

OK - grabbing the includes from here seemed to do it:
    \controlSUITE\libs\app_libs\motor_control\math_blocks\fixed_v1.1

    I'm at
    #define LEVEL2 2 // Verify ADC, park/clarke, calibrate the offset

    with this build too.

    Regards,
    John W.
  • And...I am able to connect with the Crosshairs app:

    Regards,
    John
