TMS320F28067: One bit in RAM is not available

Hi,

Customer is using F28067 for their application. There's one bit in RAM 0x1214C (L8), which is not writable. The bit is number 8.

For example, code tried to write 0x1111 to the RAM. After writing, value 0x1011 was read, in both "memory browser" and variable (*0x1214C).

What could be the issue?

Jordan,

This sounds like it could be a memory failure. If all of the other memory locations are working properly, then I would recommend treating this as a defective unit.

Hi Zhou,

This look like a defect in device. Does it fail even on slower frq? Also was it working earlier and now failing or never worked?

Is this a time-zero failure? or did the device work for some time properly and then started exhibiting this issue? Also, have you noticed any temperature sensitivity? Meaning issue is seen only at a particular temperature range (may be high temp or cold temp)

Hareesh,
After factory programming, customer did the system test in the lab. The error was reported there.
There's no high/low temperature during that time.
It's not a failure returned from the field.
