TMS320F28377D: Cannot make ADC and ePWM work simultanuously

Hello,

I finished the code following the example adc_soc_epwm from control suite. I have 6 ePWM and 6 ADC in total.

However, I cannot make ADC and ePWM work simultaneously, although every of them can work alone perfectly if another one is disabled.

I wonder if I made any mistakes in timing or the code is pretty long. (Currently it has 1000 lines) For the ePWM6 which triggers the ISR, I enable it all the time. Would that be the reason?

Hi Shenli,

Can you describe your ePWM and ADC setup in a little more detail? What frequency are the ePWMs running?

It is certainly possible that the ISR code duration is too long, which is causing issues. Some checks of this would be:

Reduce the ePWM frequency
Comment out unnecessary code in the ISR
Use the code profiler to measure the duration of the ISR and compare to the ePWM frequency

Hi sir,

Sorry for the late reply. I have figured it out. It is because I set some dead loop in the ADC part of ISR and it didn't go to initialize the ePWM then. I hope I could be more careful.
