TMS320F28075: TMDXDOCK28075 and TMDSDOCK28379D compatibility

Hello,

I began an electronic feasibility design with the TMDXDOCK28075. But this kit is no more available and replaced by the TMDSDOCK28379D.

I would like to know if it is possible to turn the TMDSDOCK28379D kit into a "TMDXDOCK28075" like. Is it pin to pin compatible? Can I change the MCU on the board to continue evaluating the processor?

If it's not possible, can I execute the software developed for the TMS320F28075 on the TMS320F28379 without any software source code change (just command file)? Are the pinout mux identical for example?

    Hi Aurelien,

    The F2807x, F2837xS, and F2837xD families of parts were co-designed at the same time to allow complete pin compatibility.  You should definitely be able to develop on the F2837xD HW and SW for the purpose of feasibility (just don't use any features that are not supported by F2807x).
