Hello,

My customer use trip event to shut down the PWM output for the over current which is detected the on-chip analog comparator module.

But they don't want to shut down the PWM output immediately when the over current is detected, and want to shut down the PWM when the over current is detected AND TBCNT value = 0.

In this case, could you let me know how to configure the Trip Zone register?

Hi Kengo,

Do you want to shut down the ePWM at the next counter = 0 time after an over-current is detected?

Or, do you only want to shut down the ePWM when over-current is detected only if it is detected at the same time that counter = 0?

Yes. I want to do it, and want to know how to configure the trip zone.

Hi Furuya-san,

I don't think there is a direct way to do this in HW. It is likely possible this can be accomplished in HW + SW.

Can you elaborate a little bit on what the application is and why you want to delay the trip? Usually in an over-current situation we want to shutdown as fast as possible.
