TMS320F28069: eCAN

Hello,

I am trying to interface F28069 with a vector VN1610 can interface. From Vector datasheet I got the info that I need to connect the CAN High and CAN Low pins of vector with F28069. But I cannot find which pin or what will serve as my can low interface. Is it going to be the ground pin of F28069?

Hi,

You need a CAN transceiver to interface with CAN TX & RX pins on the controller to convert the same to CANH&L lines. \

Please refer to the attached figure on how connections are to be made on the CAN bus. You also could look at the schematics of the LaunchPads available on the TI website. You must use a CAN transceiver IC to connect the MCU to the CAN bus.

If you're using Launchpad (LAUNCHXL-F28069), there is a CAN transceiver installed on your board. You just need to use CAN-H and CAN-L pins.
