TMS320F28377D: CAN Reset after Communication Failure OR Tx/Rx Error

Hello, 

I use TMS320F28377D (C2000 series)  on one end and Microchip micro-controller on the other end for the CAN communication.

I do not see any document or anything related to recovery after CAN error, this may be due to Tx/Rx error or communication link failure etc.

How do I retrieve the CAN communication after any such errors.  Do I need to reset the CAN module ? 

If yes please let me know the procedure.

I would appreciate any help.
