TMS320F28054M: How to prevent motor overheating from stuck on a certain position

Part Number: TMS320F28054M

Hi TI and Adam,

  what are the parameters that i can use to keep tracking the current that apply to the motor?

  • What current do you want to track? You can use below codes to get the real Id, Iq and reference Iq which is apply to motor.

    // get Id and Iq vectors in amps
    gMotorVars.Id_A = _IQmpy(CTRL_getId_in_pu(handle), _IQ(USER_IQ_FULL_SCALE_CURRENT_A));
    gMotorVars.Iq_A = _IQmpy(CTRL_getIq_in_pu(handle), _IQ(USER_IQ_FULL_SCALE_CURRENT_A));

    // calculate vector Is in amps
    gMotorVars.Is_A = _IQsqrt(_IQmpy(gMotorVars.Id_A, gMotorVars.Id_A) + _IQmpy(gMotorVars.Iq_A, gMotorVars.Iq_A));

    // get the Iq reference from the position controller
    gMotorVars.IqRef_A = _IQmpy(STPOSCTL_getTorqueReference(stObj->posCtlHandle), _IQ(USER_IQ_FULL_SCALE_CURRENT_A));
