Im going to buy a TI microcontroller. which one is the best choice?

my project is a back-to-back converter control. that's inject power to grid.

Depends on how many peripherals you plan to utilize. TMS320F28335 can be an overkill but the best way to understand your requirement. You can scale down anytime you feel so. If you want to shortlist the best for you now itself then share the processing power and peripherals you need.

F28335 is an older processor these days.
You may want to look at what is supported via Launchpads, because they are an inexpensive way to get started.
The F28377S at $29.99 may well be a good starting point, but it really depends on your needs. You can certainly start there and go smaller if you need to...

thanks you all for your replies.

my goal is laboratory jobs in power electronic(three phase grid connected converter control) and i need that support control methods(linear or non-linear) and modulation method(spwm, svm).

i'm going to buy an ezdsp board not a chip

Hi Hossein,

Another set of resources you should be aware of is C2000's evaluation kits. This may provide you another option for getting started.

The F28335 is a good choice. However, the F2837*D is our most recent high-end device family. As such, it contains the most up-to-date peripherals and features (for example the Trigonometric Math Unit accelerator [TMU], on-chip sigma-delta demodulators, and on-chip analog comparators). This may be overkill for your application, but it should be relatively easy to scale down to other parts in the family or other C2000 families, if desired.

For this reason & because you're just getting started, I'd recommend that you consider the TMS320F28379D and its family of devices. For basic evaluation purposes with this device, a LaunchPad (LAUNCHXL-F28379D) or an Experimenter's Kit (TMDSDOCK28379D) could be purchased..
