CCS/TMS320F28069M: Information about the library: 2806xrevb_fastspinromsymbols.lib

Part Number: TMS320F28069M

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello,

I'm trying to create a project with HAL from the scratch, but I'm getting a list of unresolved symbols - ex. _EST_getFlux_pu referenced in ./user.obj. When comparing my project with the example (proj_lab01) I see that those symbols exist in a library called "2806xrevb_fastspinromsymbols.lib" included in the example.

I cannot find any information about this library, what is it for? Does it somehow substitute additional source files that would define the unresolved symbol (ex. from EST module)?

Anyways - when I add this library to my project, I get a list of errors #16008, which means that the library was compiled for different ISA version (C2800). The error says that C2700 was specified in a previous file or on the command line. I cannot find it, where might it be specified? As for RTS I've chosen "rts2800_fpu32.lib".

  • 2806xRevB_FastSpinROMSymbols.lib is a symbols library that provides the linker/compiler information about the FAST ROM, allowing the EST function calls to point to the specific ROM sections necessary to perform the FAST estimation. EST_getFlux_pu() is an example of the API that the symbols library points to, allowing these functions to be run while still concealing the source in protected memory (since the InstaSPIN algorithm is protected IP).

please try compiling the project using the rts2800_ml.lib instead
