TMS320F28069M: Inertia Identification failed

Hi all,

I fail to identify the inertia every time.

Error 2004 or 2006 is output when identifying inertia.

Then, we reduced the values of “gMotorVars.SpinTAC.VelIdGoalSpeed_krpm” and “gMotorVars.SpinTAC.VelIdTorqueRampTime_sec”,

and finally set them to "1". However, the same error is still output.

Please advise what is the problem.

HW environment

Board : DRV8301-69M-KIT
Motor : Original motor
- R : 5.25Ω
- L : 10mH
- FLUX : 2.45
- Pole pairs : 10
- Max motor speed : 600RPM
- Max motor current : 4.8A
- Inertia : TBD

SW environment

motorware_1_01_00_17 : lab5e

I am using "motorware_selecting_user_variables.xlsx" to set the parameters of "user.h".

Did you use lab02b/lab02c to identify the motor parameters (Rs, Ls and Flux)first, and set the correct motor parameters in user.h? And then use lab05c to identify the motor inertia without load on motor shaft.

Yes. First I used lab2b to identify R and L.
The values are the same as the actual motor values.
Then I used lab5c.

Had any load on motor shaft, and did you have any current waveform to show the failed process?

I got the current waveform from my customer.
Please let me know what is wrong with this waveform.

This waveform is the current / voltage waveform immediately after identifying is started.

Sasaki,

Before you modified the values for GoalSpeed & RampTime, what was the behavior of the motor? Did it spin continuously during the test?

Initially, I think your modified value for GoalSpeed is way too low. I think it should be set to 600rpm or so.

Now, "Maximum Target RPM " of my customer's motor is just 600 rpm.

I ask the customer to try it at other speeds.

I think a target speed of 600 RPM would be sufficient.
