F28M36H33B2: Is it possibile to use only the C28 core in F28M3x family?

C28x core of F28M36H33B2 is more loaded in peripherals than F28334. You can compare the same by checking the device homepages.

You needto have device initialization code on M3 side because in this system M3 is master and many tasks related to device initialization can be done my M3 code only. Please refer TRM and example code to find more detail about initialization which need to be done my M3.

After system initialization, C28x can run independent of M3 (as mentioned by Gautam).

I asked for this information because I have this problem:
I have an application firmware running on a F28334 DSP.
Now I have to implement a new feature and I need more RAM. So I was looking for a F28xxx DSP with more RAM.
Is the F28M36H33B2 DSP the right choice? Or is there another F28xxx DSP than can meet my requirements?

At first glance, I would consider moving to the F2837xS family - definitely more RAM, higher speed, more flash, Lower price... I am sure that the footprint is different, but so is the F28M36H33B2 footprint.

I forgot to specify another requirement: the core supply must be the same as F28334, that is 1.9 V.

F28M35 requires 3.3V, 1.8V, and 1.2V rails.

Can you just connect an external RAM to the F2833x XINTF peripheral if all you need is more RAM?

No, I can't.
There is no space on the board.

Do you have other performance or feature set requirements?

F2806x has more RAM, but less FLASH and slower speeds.
