TMS320F28075: CAN RAM initialization time and value

Hi,

when I start an inizialization of CAN mailbox RAM by writing 0x1A on CAN_RAM_INIT register, how log does it take for the initialization to end?

Which is the value of mailbox RAM after initialization? Are all bits equal to zero?

Hi Demis,

It takes around 50 ticks for CAN Message RAM INIT to be done which is also dependent on the optimization you select.

After CAN INIT the RAM_INIT_DONE bit in the CAN_RAM_INIT is set.

You should be expecting zero value of the mailbox RAM after initialization.
