Powering TMS320F2812 through software

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320F2812

Hi All,

Following up with my earlier question of powering of TMS320F2812 DSP, I would like to know if I could check these bits on reset for determining the Power ON/OFF of DSP.

The bits are 1)CLKMODE and CLKOFF of XINTCNF2 Register. Please refer to page 31 of XINTF manual which describe as:

3 CLKOFF Turn XCLKOUT mode off. This is done for power savings and noise reduction. This bit is set to 0 on a reset.

0 XCLKOUT is enabled.

1 XCLKOUT is disabled.

2 CLKMODE Mode

XCLKOUT divide by 2 mode. All bus timings, irrespective of which mode is enabled, will start from the rising edge of XCLKOUT. The default mode of operation

on power up and reset is /2 mode.Changes to the CLKMODE bit should be made only by code executing outside of the XINTF.

0 XCLKOUT is equal to XTIMCLK

1 XCLKOUT is a divide by 2 of XTIMCLK

Waiting for your valuable inputs.

Thanks,

Shilpa
