TMS320F2808: Select the right processor for my application

In my prototype I am using the mentioned processor. However, this processor is already quite old and is fixed point.

For the design of the final commercial product, I need a floating point processor with following interfaces:

CAN bus, SPI and a counter.As it is for an automotive type of application, the processor should be qualified "automotive" too.

Who can help (I was trying to reach someone from TI) to make the right choice?

In some way I get lost ind the vast family of processors that exist today.
