CCS/TMS320F280049M: C2000/CCS IDE

Part Number: TMS320F280049M

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Question regarding the TMS320F280049M DSP:

There is an errata on the part, document “sprz439”, that discusses among other things the possibility that some early versions of the microprocessor were missing the factory calibration on the internal 10MHz oscillators (INTOSC1 and INTOSC2).  I believe that is the case with the part I have, as the internal oscillators are running slow by over 10%.  The problem is that the errata document states I can re-adjust the oscillators using registers “AnalogSubsysRegs.INTOSC1TRIM” and “AnalogSubsysRegs.INTOSC2TRIM”, but I cannot find any reference to these registers in the TMS320F28004x data sheets nor technical reference.  I also cannot find them in the Registers screen when I am running our C2000 controlCard development board using the CCS IDE.

  • Hi Leo,

Only a handful of the initial controCards built with the TMS320F28004x parts have not received the optimized production trim. These would exhibit the INTOSC behavior you have described above. The new samples have the latest production trim flow and would not have this issue. We will update the errata to remove this reference as all the new samples should now have the updated calibration values.

    Thanks,
    Joseph
