Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

I am using an XDS100v2 USB Debug probe in the Code Composer Studio development environment on a TMS320F280049M DSP controlCard C2000 evaluation kit.  I would like to perform trace captures and code execution profiles (e.g. evaluate function execution time).  The CCS software has several tools that appear to offer these functions, but they do not seem to be available for the specific DSP and debug probe I am using.  Has anyone found a way to perform these functions under the conditions I have?  Thanks.
