Updating Passwords and generating new algorithm files F2808

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH, TMS320F2808

I was never able to resolve my original problem which involved creating a new batch file to erase/program/verify with different passwords. I was trying to incorporate the new password in our last firmware update but had to set that aside when I couldn't get this resolved.

We now have the next generation boards and firmware will need updates to accommodate the new features added. At this point we want to update the passwords. As a reminder we are using at TMS320F2808 part, CCS 5.5 (certainly willing to update) with a Spectrum Digital XDS510LC emulator pod. Previous suggestion were to use Uniflash. But Uniflash seems to be a SW package not an emulator. Links provided regarding Uniflash imply it's already embedded in CCS.

A couple of basic questions. First, what is the best emulator pod to use with Uniflash. We have problems with the XDS510LC pod in production and engineering has to spend too much time getting them to connect so we'd like something more reliable. Note that the new board design is limited to TMS, TCK, TDI, TDO, TRST, EMU0, and EMU1 using a 14 pin header. Second, is Uniflash part of CCS? Does it need to be loaded separately? Is there a user guide for creating scripts/batch files? I have never been able to figure out how to generate new erase/program/verify scripts using CCS 5.5. The previous engineer had left the company before my tenure so I don't know how they generated the .sdp files (in SD Config maybe).
