LAUNCHXL-F28377S: blinky example project will not run after reboot

I am trying to run the led_ex1_blinky project from flash on my launchxl-f28377s. I can build and run (debug) the project succesfully using either the CPU1_FLASH or CPU1_RAM configurations. However, when I run (debug) either of them, if I press the reset button on the launchpad or unplug/plug the USB cable, the code will stop running (LED quits blinking).

I can also build and run the Example_28377SLaunchPad project just fine. When I press the reset button while this project is running, it runs after reboot perfectly. So I know the problem is not my dipswitch settings. I tried copying the project properties for this project to my blinky project, but this didn't help.

I have been googling and tweaking the project properties all afternoon to no avail. How do I get this project to run after reboot?

I'm using CCS 7.2.

Where is BEGIN and codestart being linked in the linker command file?

2837xS_Generic_FLASH_lnk.cmd :

BEGIN : origin = 0x080000, length = 0x000002

codestart : > BEGIN PAGE = 0, ALIGN(4)

2837xS_Generic_RAM_lnk.cmd :

BEGIN : origin = 0x000000, length = 0x000002

codestart : > BEGIN, PAGE = 0

I can post the entire cmd files if you'd like, or send you the whole project.

Are you performing a memcpy of .TI.ramfunc?

I'm sorry, I'm not sure what that means. You'll have to give me a little more context or instruction. All I have done is copy the led_ex1_blinky project from CCS 7.2 > TI Resource Explorer > Software > C2000Ware - v:1.00.01.00 > English > Devices> F2837XS > F23877S > Examples > Driverlib into my workspace. I changed the GPIO numbers to match those for the LEDs on the LAUNCHXL_F28377S. Then I build and debug the project and it runs fine on my launchpad. However, when I use the FLASH build configuration, if I reset the board, the program does not reload and the LED stops blinking. If I copy the Example_28377SLaunchPad project from controlSUITE, this program will build and run just fine, even after I reset the launchpad.

You need to add F2837xD_CodeStartBranch.asm to the project and rebuild.
