Starterware/TMS320F28335: Issue with installed FTDI XDS100 class USB serial driver installation

Hi Vishal,

What MathWorks release are you using? Are you using the MathWorks C2000 Support Package?

MathWorks software uses the drivers and CCS from TI to talk to the board. Can you use CCS to talk to the board directly to confirm that the drivers are correct?

Mathworks release : 2017a

Yes I  am using support package of c2000

CCS version 6.2

I able to communicate via ccs but it creates error while using external mode in simulink as it uses serial communication over COM port. I when I checked the COM port it shows warning msg as mentioned in prior post.

Hi Vishal,

Your combination of R2017a and CCSv6.2 should be ok.

I have seen occasions that MATLAB or CCS locks the USB / COM port and prevents the other piece of software from connecting to the board. Try to reboot your machine (resetting all USB/COM ports), and go straight into MATLAB and try to connect and run. MATLAB actually connects the board using CCS and TI drivers under the hood, so I want you to try to run from MATLAB without having CCS as a running program or connected to the board.
