TMS320F28379D: C2000 Matlab Support Package External Mode Time out

Hi,

I am trying to run my F28379D in External Mode with Matlab. I have tried different possible configurations of SCI_A (GPIO28, GPIO42....), number of COM (COM7) port was verified, baud rate is set properly in device manager and Matlab to 11520. I cannot figure out the reason for that. I am trying with a simple led blinking test and I see my code is running for a couple of seconds before error window pops up saying that communication is timed out.

I use Matlab 2016b and CCSv6.
