Hi TI,

I've accidently burned out my LAUNCHXL-F28379D board ver.1.1 in high voltage application using with BOOSTXL-DRV8305EVM and 430BOOST-SHARP96. The booster pack works well but the C2000 chip now has ultra-low impedance on 3.3V bus and became hot and unfunctional. And now I have programed my 50Hz inverter application using MSP430, but high frequency distortion is still in inappropriate level due to relatively low bus clock speed. Can I order patched version of LAUNCHXL-F28379D board without PIN#29 (ADCINA2) issue?

To clarify, current stock is all the same revision.

A new revision is being built and should stock up in September. We will remove old stock from TI store, but we can't control if distributors also have old stock. Best plan would be to confirm new stock with us (through this e2e post) end of September and then purchase from eStore.

Ok, I've spent some more time to tweak the analog side of the 400VA power inverter. I've changed low side chokes to linear type and now distortion has been nearly eliminated. The power chokes can handle 30A of current, but magnetics need at least 100kHz modulated frequency to work at full efficiency, compared to 15kHz for now. So, I'll wait for C2000 controller with HRPWM. For now even electric guitar amplifiers with 100 dB dynamic range can work just fine powering from this inverter. :)

As I see, LAUNCHXL-F28379D is in out of stock status for now. But I see also information about revision 2.0 with fixed traces and additional option to utilize external SDRAM memory through EMIF connector.

We anticipate the stock to show in our system any day now. In preparation for the stock up of the new revision we went ahead and pushed the doc updates to the web.

It wasn't apparent whether the item in the estore was the old(shorted ADC channels) or new version of the product.

yes, we did not change the PN or indicate the revision anywhere, but we pulled out old inventory from eStore and replaced with the new version.
