Hi,

My customer asks for the right programmer for TMSF28069M board. Since we've been using Matlab/Simulink to program the Launchapad we're not sure which programmer works for this MCU. Any help would be appreciated.

Kash,

No special hardware is required to program a LaunchPad with C2Prog. Simply connect it to your PC via USB and select the "28069,67,66" target with the "JTAG" option. Then configure your port to xds100v2.

Please make sure you read the C2Prog manual, accessible from the C2Prog Help menu, for more details, including how to generate a hex file that is suitable for C2Prog.

I don't want to program my Launchpad, I have designed a custom board and want to use a JTAG programmer for it. I have been using Launchpad with Matlab so I didn't need the programmer so far (there is JTAG to USB converter populated on the Launchpad) but I would like to give the hex file to the customer so he can program it easily with a programmer.

Just use an external XDS100 JTAG adapter:

The C2000 team's default recommendation is the xds200, as it balances performance & cost well. The xds100v2 is also a valid choice.

I just created a simple model with Simulink and generated the hex file. When I want to flash the MCU I get the following fault:

Which chip are you attempting to program and what is the external clock/crystal frequency? Is this a TI evaluation board or your own hardware?

Please post a screenshot of the C2Prog main window (with target configuration) and provide me with the full C2Prog version number (from "About" window).

The board I'm using is a controlCARD based on TMS320F28379D MCU. I created a simple model to blink two built-in LEDs with Simulink and this is how I set it up:

I'm able to flash it using UniFlash but can't use CodeSkin.
