TMS320F28075: Maximum Write/Read Speed for using EMIF with external SDRAM/SRAM

Part Number: TMS320F28075

Hello Champs,

What about the maximum write/read speed for F28075 EMIF connecting with external SDRAM or SRAM?

Would you please kindly help? Thanks!

Best Regards,

Linda

  • Hello,

  • Linda,

This varies with usage factors such as native word size of external memory (8b, 16b, 32b), processor used to move the data (DMA, CPU, CLA), memory access size used for transfer (16b, 32b), and concurrent activity on EMIF (uninterrupted blocks, interrupted reads or writes).

Under optimal conditions, a 16b memory configuration might achieve peak rates around 80MB/s writes and 50MB/s reads.
