Hi All,
Is it possible to interface the TMS320F28027F MCU with TCAN1042-Q1 to create a CAN interface with the TMS320F28027F device?

Hi Leo,
This TCAN chip acts as a CAN/CANFD transceiver, and needs to be used along with a device which has a CAN interface.
The F2802x family of devices does not have a CAN peripheral, and therefore it will not be able to interface.
However, the F2803x family & F2806xF families do have eCAN peripherals, and they will likely be able to interface to this TCAN transceiver to create a CAN node. Please note that the eCAN peripheral is designed to work with CAN networks (not the newer, higher datarate, CAN-FD). Because of this, and assuming that a standard CAN network is what is being implemented, there may be cheaper TI CAN transceivers to consider.
Thank you,
Brett
