Hi,

One of my customers is trying to evaluate C2000 with the DRV8323 using the LAUNCHXL-F28027F and the DRV booster pack. I see that there is no MotorWare support for this DRV, and the eval SW is written for MSP. Are there plans to support this in MotorWare? If so, what is the timeframe for release? If not, what would be the best approach for evaluating these 2 devices together?

We have completed the coding and testing on LaunchXL-F28027/LaunchXL-F28069+Boostxl-DRV8323, need to take some time to complete the release process. The major difference between DRV8323 and DRV8305 or DRV8301 boostxl board is the register setting for the driver.

The BoostXL-DRV8323 will work with the F28027 LaunchPad, it will require you to change the DRV header files to correctly interface with the driver. As Yanming mentioned, the main difference between the DRV8301/DRV8305 and DRV8323 will be in the register settings for those drivers, so you'll need to modify the SPI interface between the C2000 MCU and the DRV driver. Also, it will be necessary to check the Motorware user.h to ensure the voltage scaling settings are correct for the DRV8323 Booster pack hardware.

At this time, we do not plan to add support for this in a Motorware release.
