TMS320F28035: with DRV8312-C2-KIT, Driver Trouble

Part Number: TMS320F28035
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE

Hi team,

I recently purchased a DRV8312-C2-KIT, and I am experiencing some difficulty in getting the appropriate drivers installed. A couple notes first:

  • I have installed controlSUITE from both the USB included with the KIT and from the installer found on ti.com; both attempts yielded the same results
  • I did a COMPLETE install, not a CUSTOM install
  • The KIT is running with the stock F28035 control card

This was the first problem I encountered, along with Device Manager not recognizing board:

Following the advice of this e2e post, I attempted to update the driver while pointing the installer to the recommended directory and received an error saying the hash is not present and the file is likely corrupt or the victim of tampering (see below).

I see this note in the processors wiki (here, specifically):

"Sometimes the use of different drivers such as libFTDI (used by OpenOCD, for example) or a simple corruption on other Windows .inf files may cause an improper initialization of the XDS100 device drivers."

Could the above be related to my issue? Is there anything in particular to look for? Are there any recommended next steps?

I saw several posts with similar questions being moved to this forum, but if I am posting here in error, please let me know.

Thank you,

Brian Angiel
