1. Please explain the functionality of INPUTXBAR and OUTPUTXBAR.

2. Can any of the INPUTXBAR pins be used to configure eCAP module?

3. How to configure external interrupts?

Hi Lakshmi,

Each input crossbar line is a mux that can select any GPIO pin. These can be routed to generate external interrupts, trigger the ADC, be used as triggers in the ePWM module, or feed as inputs to the eCAP module. The full set of possibilities is shown in the TRM (http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/spruhm8f/spruhm8f.pdf

Similarly, OUTPUT XBAR provides 8 outputs which can be routed on one of the GPIO pins by using GPIO MUX selection. Each of these output of OUTPUT XBAR can be selected from different source (refer 8.2.2 GPIO Output X-BAR of TRM).
