TMDXDOCK280049M: How to use for standalone mode

Part Number: TMDXDOCK280049M
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: C2000WARE

Hi team,

Our customer started to evaluate using TMDXDOCK280049M.

They tried to launch it in a standalone from FLASH, but it did not work.

Please tell me how to set to standalone mode.

They refered Table.1 Getting Started Reference in 「Piccolo F20049M controlCARD Information Guide」(spruic4.pdf).

 S1:A Position 1 was OFF

 S1 Position 1 was ON

 S1 Position 2 was ON

It seems that the software is not activated even when power is turned on under the above conditions.

Is not the software written in FLASH?

Is it not enough to debug from CCS?

They are using sources in examples of C2000Ware.

Plese tell me, if it is necessary to modify the sample code.

Best regards,

Tomoaki Yoshida

  • Hi Yoshida-san,

    Two notes:

    1. Both positions of S1 should be in the upward position (OFF) in order to get the F280049M device to boot-from-flash
    2. I'd recommend trying the led_ex1_blinky project.  It can be found at:
      \C2000Ware_X_XX_XX_XX\device_support\f28004x\examples\led\
      1. The Quickstart Document can help in getting started:
        \C2000Ware_X_XX_XX_XX\device_support\f28004x\docs\
      2. Once imported into CCS, please change the build configuration to CPU1_FLASH.

    Hopefully this helps!

    Thank you,
    Brett
